Proposal Types

Adapt offers three types of sessions on the proposal application:

25 or 50 Minute Synchronous Sessions

We welcome UNCG faculty and staff to submit proposals for live sessions during our May 8th and 9th conference. We want to make it as collaborative as possible. Please consider including an additional presenter for your session(s), such as additional faculty/staff members or your Academic Technology Specialist

5-Minute Synchronous Lightning Talk

We will offer lightning round sessions to share quick tips and best practices related to a specific topic that can be immediately implemented in an instructor’s teaching practice. Lightning rounds will consist of 25-minute sessions where up to 4 presenters will have 5 minutes to share information with the audience. The additional 5-minutes are dedicated to introducing the session and allowing time for discussion and transition between speakers. Lightning round sessions will be focused on our specific conference tracks: making connections with ourselves, our students, and our instructional tools and networks. Presenters do not need to identify others to participate in the lightning round session with them as conference coordinators will match presenters based on topic.

Asynchronous Virtual Presentation

We welcome UNCG faculty and staff to submit information asynchronously to our conference to share insight with others. This is a great opportunity for faculty who can not join us in May or wish to contribute but not present synchronously. Share your course tours, instructional technology tools or tips, best practices and/or research in regards to teaching. Submissions will be accepted in a variety of formats including 5-10 minute videos, infographics, presentation slides, Canvas pages, or other options that meet your needs. Please submit a proposal application and a member of the Adapt planning committee will reach out to you with next steps.

Submit Your Proposal

Please submit a new form for each proposal. For example, if you would like to propose a 25-minute synchronous session with a colleague and participate as an individual in one of the lightning rounds, you will need to submit the form twice.
